ANNAPOLIS, MD (October 15, 2003) - Cartwright Hotel Associates LLC, a joint venture between Rhode Island-based Magna Hotel Fund I, L.P. and Santa Barbara-based Somera Realty Value Fund, L.P., announce the purchase of the Cartwright Hotel in San Francisco, CA. for an undisclosed sum. They have appointed MHG-San Francisco, LLC, a wholly-owned affiliate of Annapolis-based Magna Hospitality Group, L.C. to manage the hotel. Renovations planned for the Cartwright Hotel include major improvements to the fire and safety equipment and elevators with a complete upgrade of all guest rooms.

The Cartwright Hotel is located directly off Union Square in San Francisco's most desirable location for both the leisure and business traveler. This boutique hotel offers 114 guestrooms with five deluxe suites. Included in guest accommodations is a complimentary continental breakfast, French roast coffee and English teas in the lobby throughout the day, freshly baked cookies each late afternoon, and a Manager's hosted wine reception in the evening featuring private labels from nearby Napa Valley. Additional amenities include wireless internet access and large screen television in the hotel's library, a complimentary copy of the San Francisco Chronicle, access to a full service fitness center one block from the hotel for a fee that can be charged to the guest room.
